Introduction of the Enrolled Organizations

Takahama Torimeshi Conference started in 2010 with the goal of cheering up the community with our cuisine Torimeshi. Takahama Torimeshi is a sweet-spicy seasoned Japanese chicken rice cooked with chickens that no longer lay eggs. We want to encourage the city with Takahama Torimeshi. We present a song of Takahama City and advertise the city’s proudful points. We also hold events to make Torimeshi with families and donate Torimeshi to welfare facilities. In this way, we promote Takahama City through its soul food Torimeshi.

Introduction of the Cities and Towns

Takahama City in Aichi Prefecture is well known for its Sanshu Tiles and dolls. Sanshu Tiles(“Sansyu Gawara”) has a market share of over 70% and is the largest producer of tiles in Japan. Regarding dolls, Yoshihama Dolls (“Yoshihama Saiku Ningyo”) are prefectural intangible cultural property. They are exhibited in the shopping street with Chrysanthemum Dolls(“Kiku Ningyo”). We recommend Onimichi Street for sightseeing of the houses with Sansyu Tiles, and Ningyo Avenue for doll exhibitions. Please enjoy Sansyu Tiles and the dolls when you come to Takaha City to eat Torimeshi.
