Kameyama Miso Yaki Udon Honpo

Introduction of the Enrolled Organizations

Miso Yaki Udon is Japanese stir-fried Udon noodles with Miso. Kameyama City in Mie prefecture was a prosperous post town on Tokaido Road in the Edo period. About ten years ago, several energetic citizens were into fun things and started to dig up their “local treasures.” Then, our recommendation is the traditional Yaki Udon with a special flavored Aka Miso (red Miso). It has beena favored but used to be nameless local cuisine. Soon after naming it “Kameyama Miso Yaki Udon,” we have been promoting it all over Japan.
Miso Yaki Udon is a unique cuisine. Its spicy taste stimulates your appetite in any season.

Introduction of the Cities and Towns

Kameyama City is a castle town with approximate population of 50,000. It included three post towns of 53 on Tokaido Road in the Edo period, and many people visit there today with the trend of walking around the post towns. The location of Kameyama City is significant in traffic because it is a threshold of the JR Line and the expressways. Yakiniku(grilled meat) and Miso Yaki Udon with special red Miso sauce was the recipe of a restaurant on Road 1. It has been served for half a century and many people of all generations loved it.
